Natural Steps Albany

The whole centre is licensed for 80 children. Three rooms are within the centre. Pipi Room is for the infants, Kina Room is for toddlers and Wahanui Room is for the preschoolers. Our teacher child ratios are excellent so your child can engage and positive, caring and meaningful interactions with the adults.

Indoor and outdoor spaces flow into each other. Classrooms open to the outside where children and teachers feel intimately connected to the learning environment. A high quality natural outdoor environment this is a place where children can grow and nurture their own gardens. Enjoy a climbing area, swings, sandpits, slides and open space.  

Our nature programme connects all our children to the natural environment through meaningful outdoor experiences. From using our quad buggies to take the infants for a walk to the local reserve, to muddy trips and climb trees for our older children and look for frogs and eels. We have a large children's garden where we grow our only vegetables and herbs and care for plants and insects. All which develops lifelong skills while having fun.
